How I got here

From chemistry to software.

Before I was building software products, I was a physical chemist at Harvard and Northwestern studying how molecules move and bond on surfaces. Research generated tens of thousands of microscopy images, so I built software to organize, process, and visualize them. The tool solved the immediate problem. It also changed the direction of my career. That intersection of science, teaching, and software later became PocketScholar, an interactive science-learning platform I built before Code Mochi.

Since then, I’ve built healthcare software, energy analytics platforms, integration tooling, distributed data systems, and agentic AI workflows. Most recently at Prismatic, I shipped MCP-based agent capabilities and worked across React, Django, GraphQL, and AWS. Before that, I spent eight years at IHI Terrasun as an engineer, architect, and engineering manager building systems deployed across more than 60 hybrid-cloud and on-premises sites.

I tend to work on projects that start with an underspecified problem and require both product and full-stack development work from the frontend through the backend to the infrastructure. I like turning those ideas into maintainable software that a team can understand and maintain.
