Cookies and Local Storage
Last updated July 27, 2026
Code Mochi is designed to work without advertising cookies, analytics identifiers, or cross-site tracking.
Anonymous analytics
PostHog runs in always-cookieless mode. It does not set cookies or use local or session storage on Code Mochi, and it does not create a visitor profile. Daily anonymous traffic is estimated using a short-lived server-side hash rather than an identifier stored in your browser.
Analytics preference
If you select “Disable anonymous analytics” on the Privacy Policy, Code Mochi sets the first-party cookie cm_analytics=off. Its sole purpose is to remember that preference across www.codemochi.com and courses.codemochi.com. It expires after one year and is not used to identify you.
Embedded video
YouTube and Vimeo players are blocked until you choose to load them. Once loaded, those providers may set or read their own cookies and similar storage according to their policies. You can read the written material without loading a video.
Managing storage
Browser settings can display or remove stored site data. Removing thecm_analytics preference cookie returns anonymous analytics to its default state unless Do Not Track is enabled.
